Isuzu joins NFU vehicle discounts scheme
- Isuzu D-Max pick-up now available on NFU Vehicle Discounts scheme
- New initiative makes additional discount available to qualifying NFU members
Hammond Isuzu Halesworth is joining the NFU’s Vehicle Discounts scheme, through which eligible members can secure an additional discount on a new Isuzu D-Max pick-up. The offer officially became available on 1 June 2015.
The affinity programme is available to NFU Farmer and Grower, NFU Partner and NFU Retired members who meet the qualifying criteria* and the discount is additional to any individual deal reached by customers with their dealer.
William Brown, Managing Director of Isuzu UK, said: “We’re proud to have struck this deal with the NFU, which does a great job in supporting and representing the interests of the farming community in the UK. Already a favourite workhorse of choice within the agricultural sector, the Isuzu D-Max offers farmers an exceptional proposition.
“Not only does our pick-up offer a compelling combination of great value and low running costs, but it also marries rugged durability with a quiet, refined interior cabin. And with a braked towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes, farmers across the land rely on the Isuzu D-Max to provide them with exceptional support day-in day-out.”
Ben Coates, NFU Affinities and Services Manager commented: “Although they are one of the most essential tools for any farm, pick up vehicles are often the unsung hero. That’s why the NFU is keen to work with Isuzu to provide farming members with access to discounts on the D-Max, one of the UK’s top pickups.”
The range of Isuzu D-Max pick-ups available through the NFU scheme includes single, extended and double cabs. Prices (before the discount) start from £14,999 (CVOTR) for the entry-level single cab 4x2 rising to £22,999 (CVOTR) for the Isuzu D-Max Utah Auto double cab (the range-topping Blade model – from £25,999 CVOTR – is not available through the NFU Vehicle Discounts scheme).
The Isuzu D-Max is fitted with a super-efficient 2.5-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, producing 163 PS and 400 Nm of torque, returns fuel economy of 38.7 mpg (combined), and is available with a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission. It is certified to tow a class-leading 3.5-tonnes (with a braked trailer).
2014 was the best ever year for Isuzu in the UK with sales of over 5500 pick-ups and the growth has continued into 2015 with record sales in the first quarter of over 1800 pick-ups. The D-Max has already added to its considerable trophy cabinet this year, too, collecting the ‘Pick-Up of the Year’ award from leading light commercial vehicle expert, VansA2Z.com, for the third consecutive year, and Trade Van Driver’s Best Trade Pick-Up for the second year running.
