Smarter and better to drive than ever, the New Ford Focus impresses with EcoBoost 48V mild hybrid engines and the option of a seven-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission. You can get advanced assistance systems like Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Speed Sign Recognition and Lane Centring to semi-automate your journeys, and there’s a new 13.2” touchscreen with over-the-air updates and a fully digital driver’s display. Full LED headlights now come as standard, giving every New Focus a premium vibe.
Trim levels include Titanium, sporty ST-Line, rugged Active and ‘X’ variants that add more technology and kit. A 13.2” touchscreen dominates the cabin, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and advanced voice control. Blind Spot Assist (monitors your blind spot) and Intersection Assist (uses the New Focus’ forward-facing camera in combination with radar to monitor the road ahead for potential collisions with oncoming vehicles in parallel lanes) are among several new, class-leading safety features.
Design
The adventurous Active variant rides higher while ST-Line models have sporty side skirts, a rear diffuser and a rear spoiler. A hatchback or estate body is available with LED headlights fitted as standard (Dynamic Pixel LED headlights in X variants).
Practivality
Estate models have remote seat release and a boot floor divider system, helping you make the most of the 575-litre boot. The luggage space is now trimmed with high-quality cropped carpet. Hatch models have a 375-litre boot with 60-40 rear seats.
Drive
Drive Mode select comes as standard with Normal, Sport and Eco modes. Engines include a 1.0 EcoBoost with 100PS and 125PS, a 1.0 EcoBoost 48V Mild Hybrid with 125PS or 155PS, and a 1.5 EcoBlue diesel engine available with 95PS and 120PS power outputs.
Living With It
Features like heated front seats, wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera are available as standard, with a Dual-Clutch Transmission available for smooth driving.
